new boilers encouraged by ‘this is money’

It's a little money-saving secret that a new boiler can reduce your monthly household bills, and Financial Website of the Year, This is Money, encouraged the replacement of the boilers back in January 2010 when temperatures reached sub zero.

One of our leading boiler brands, Worcester Bosch, tells us that it’s surprising but true: a boiler that is just 10 years old can cost a homeowner 30% in bills than their high-efficiency Worcester Greenstar condensing boiler.  But that’s not all; every single boiler in the Worcester Bosch range is SEDBUK A-rated for efficiency. SEDBUK A-rated boilers turn 90% of fuel into heat, compared to the 50% of older boilers.

So replacing old boilers really can help homeowners make a calculable saving. It was reported by This Is Money, in January 2010, that modern and eco-friendly boilers could save a household up to £235 a year, so upgrading is a worthy investment. Eco-friendly boilers such as the Worcester Greenstar condensing boiler, Glow Worm boilers, Vaillant combi boilers, Potterton boilers, and Ferroli combi boilers have been named by This Is Money as the “new breed” of boilers, known to be “far more energy-efficient than the traditional guzzlers, reusing heat that would otherwise be wasted.”

The New Breed Combi Boilers

This has become a very common type of boiler in many homes today, and this gas combination heating system runs both central heating and hot water from one single unit. Combi boilers can be used in large houses, and they are much more economic than having a separate hot water storage cylinder.

Plumbtraders stock a wide range of boilers including Vaillant boilers, Worcester boilers, Baxi boilers, Ideal boilers, Glow Worm combi boilers, and other eco-friendly boiler brands.
